League Warning’s are “permanent” on the players record (as opposed to suspensions that occur during each season). The IceForum Skating Academy offers a full figure skating program for beginners through the most advanced competitive levels. Special practice and lesson sessions are offered daily at all facilities. Team Captains have full responsibility for filling their team roster.

Players who are assessed penalties, of any kind, shall be responsible for opening and closing the penalty box doors, properly. Failing to close the door when entering or leaving the penalty box may incur a Delay of Game penalty. It is not the scorekeeper’s or referees’ responsibility to close the doors for a player.

A base team shall consist of a minimum of twelve (12) rostered players. Division Commissioners will assess and the League Commissioner will place newly evaluated players on the appropriate teams, subject to approval by the League Commissioner. Teams may request substitution players in any playoff or championship game from the League commissioner, at least 12 Hours prior to the game being played. The team requesting the substation player may not have more than 10 players in total. All substitution players must come from the teams that did not make the playoffs or have been eliminated. The opposing captain must be notified “Prior” to the game and notified that the commissioner approved.

The Skating Academy program follows the curriculum of the US Figure Skating. The Skating Academy teaches basic fundamentals of skating as well as hockey. Use soakers (which can also be purchased in our pro shop) to keep your blades protected and dry when not in use. Beginners who have never taken an ice skating class before should register for Adult 1, Basic 1, or Snowplow Sam 1, even if they have had some skating experience. To get started, you will first need to choose your skating package.

They will give the skater proper ankle support and help prevent injuries that can occur with cheaper skates, or shiny plastic skates from sporting goods stores. If you are not ready to make the financial commitment, we highly recommend  renting skates until you are ready to purchase. After registering online, you will need to print your payment confirmation and bring it to the rink, where you will need to fill out the class card above. If you do not present your class card, you can purchase a replacement card for $5.00. We offer 8-week semester classes for tots, kids, and adults year-round, offering the Learn to Skate USA program of United States Figure Skating (USFS). Registration can be done in person or online and must paid in full at the time of registration.

A change of “Runtime” / “Stop-Clock” situation on the game clock shall NOT change the posted duration of any penalty already assessed and posted. All rosters should be submitted to the League Commissioner prior to the start of a new season with intended players. If you require substitute players on your bench for any game at all in the regular season, then you cannot exceed 11 Players in Total. Ice Forum Adult League is a “Body Contact League” with “No Body Checking” allowed.
